The youngest actress who won a standard Oscar was Tatum O'Neal. He was 10 years old when she won the Best Supporting Actress award for "Paper Moon" in 1974. Nominated together with her was fellow child actress Linda Blair for her performance in the Exorcist.
Anna Paquin won her Oscar as Best Supporting Actress in 1993 at age 11 for the movie "The Piano".
Five-year old Shirley Temple was the youngest to receive an Oscar, however the Oscar was an honorary one.
Jessica Tandy was the oldest person who won her Best Actress Oscar at 81 years old for the movie "Driving Miss Daisy."
