Who was the original Marlboro Cowboy or Marlboro Man? Did he really die of lung cancer?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$Everything I found while googling him makes it sound like he is alive. Do you have a link about his death?
no, I don't think he is dead everywhere I look says he is still alive as well.I did hear on the radio, something about all of this one of them died but it wasn't of lung cancer it was mouth cancer. The guy never smoked a cigarette only held one in his mouth for pics and things. This is why I didn't keep it on this answer though, as I couldn't find resources to back it up. When I find out more I will post here though :)
