Hi @ruhere, the first Latino to ever win an Oscar was Jose Ferrer. He was nominated for an academy award for best actor in the movie ''Cyranno De Bergerac '' in 1937.
Rita Moreno was the second Latino to win an Oscar . She was nominated in 1961 for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie West Side Story, of which she won.
There have also being other Latinos who had won the Oscars , such as Benicio Del Toro in 2001, for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie ''Traffic'' .
Most of these actors are Puerto Ricans . The often nominated ones are Jacobo Morales , Joaquin Phoenix , Rosie Perez and a lot more.
