Who was the Egyptian entity, Ra? Was Ra, a reference to the Sun Star, Saturn?

Ra was the Egyptian Sun God and a version of the myth mentioned him to be the creator of all living things. He was the leader of the deities in Ancient Egypt and his symbol was a man wearing Pharaoh's crown.
I cannot see any reference for him to be Saturn. It seems clear that he is a solar god.
