Who was the comander during the Revolutionary War on the colonists side? Any answers?

George Washington was the Commander-in-Chief of the colonial army during the Revolutionary War. Assisting him were General Nathanael Greene and the Marquis de Lafayette. General Howe was the original commander of the British troops in the colonies, assisted by General Cornwallis and German Hessians.
