Well, I could certainly use that dollar to ask a question, because Big George, who is mean enough anyway, was feeling really mean one day and so Big George kicked Sweet Bertha and hurt her leg, and I thought that we would have to put Sweet Bertha down, but Ma said, "No, I need that cow to have a calf and make us some milk, so Ma put a splint on Sweet Bertha's leg, and then Ma strapped her to my moped, so then I couldn't go to town, but at least Sweet Bertha was getting around just fine, even faster than usual, at least when I remembered to siphon some gas from Pa's truck. The only one who didn't like it was Red Roger, and he was bellowing something fierce because he couldn't catch Sweet Bertha, and Big George was mad because Sweet Bertha ran by him and splashed mud all over him. But eventually, Sweet Bertha's leg healed, and I got my moped back, although it's sagging a bit, and Red Roger finally caught Sweet Bertha and now she's going to have a calf. And about that time, Big George came up to the house followed by eight piglets and we finally realized why Big George was feeling so grumpy. But now I don't think that Big George is a boy, even if his name is Big George. And Bobby brought home Lucy yesterday, and I don't want to go through that again, so I need that dollar to ask everyone, "How DO you tell if a snake is a girl or a boy?"
