Who thinks joining Mahalo with Conundrum Land with Mahalo was a bad idea?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$After yesterday's tutorial with Lon (and Mike), I'm aware that this "separation of questions" is coming down the pike...

M$From a Q&A point of view it works nicely as a complement to Mahalo. Giving a home to questions that don't have a definite 'best answer' and are more of an open/opinion based question. Personally if they hadn't have done something like that as a partnership I'd have been suggesting the idea myself as a means of giving opinion type questions a better home.
Boycotting Conundrum would be a stoooooopid thing to do, cutting off your nose to spite your face. If you don't like it, don't use it fine. Its a free country/world/internet. If you have constructive criticism great. The solution here should be to make both Mahalo and Conundrum the best that they can be. Both sites are works in progress.

M$oh so 13 is the legal drinking age?
the 'pure' thing was a joke btw
No... where did you get that idea from..
The 13 year old limit on Mahalo is due to child protection legislation. It was mentioned to illustrate the point that there are age limits in place on Mahalo as well... Mahalo isn't open to "all ages" so it isn't that terrible that Conundrum has a limit as well. The fact that those limits are different is i suppose a bit annoying.. but in that case don't go there. You aren't losing anything by conundrum being there, and its not a good thing to be a dog in a manger especially if thats a dog that bites the hand that feeds
(yes its proverb day on mahalo today... lol)
(edit
appolgies to all if I came across a bit grouchy or combative... I'm going to sit down, have a nice cup of tea and get back to writing some silly puns)
Its that way because its sponsored by a wine company and there are laws about what they can and can't do... Tobacco companies aren't allowed to advertise in childrens websites either (and if they could I'd be furious!!!!). Conundrum needs that rule in to protect itself from accusations that its breaking the law.
And its not even because its an American wine company. You try hopping over to http://www.carlsberg.co.uk/ to grab some pictures of Liverpool FC and see what the first question they ask you is!!!!
Mahalo has a rule that says you must be over 13 to join btw...
i understand what your saying but its annoying, particulary as for a strange reason you have to be over the drinking limit, i know its a wine website but really, if mahalo alows under 18s why add a site that doesnt ?
Just an idea :)
