It's actually sort of funny. I've been to Mexico around May 5th and people down there really don't make as big a deal about it as we do here in America. Part of the reason is because many people think it's Mexico's Independence Day which it isn't. Their Independence Day is actually on September 16th. So the holiday is celebrated here in American more than in Mexico.
