Who is your greatest point guard in the NBA of all-time?

For me it is John Stockton of the Utah Jazz. He is the NBA’s all-time leader in steals and assists. He is also durable as he just missed few games during his career as a basketball player. He is also good in fishing for a foul.
Stockton together with his pal Karl Malone they perfected the pick and roll game, a basic play yet very effective and dangerous. Since this will set up either Stockton an open shot or a space to drive for a lay-up or set up Malone for a perimeter shot or opportunity to go straight to the hoops for a field goal.
Stockton is a decent shooter from the free throw area to the three-point arc. Stockton truly exemplifies how the point-guard position should be played with smart plays and precise passing.
Although he is one of the greatest players in the game like his pal Malone he never won an NBA ring.

Great question and not sure I can decide. I narrowed it down to Magic Johnson and John Stockton, two Hall of Fame players, great point guards with totally different styles of play.
Magic scored 17,707 points, averaged 19.5 points per game, 11.2 assists, 7.2 rebounds and nearly 2 assists per game. He was a 12 time All Star, three time MVP and five time NBA Champion. Stockton scored 19,711 points, averaged 13.1 points, 10.5 assists and 2.17 steals per game. He was a 10 time All Star and two time Olympic Gold Medalist. Stockton was more the "textbook" point guard, so to speak, but it's hard denying Johnson with with his championships and overall game. On the other side of the coin, Stockton never quite had the team around him that Johnson had. He had Karl Malone but never enough else to justify ever winning a championship. Magic had Kareem Abdul Jabbar and James Worthy. I pick Johnson 1 with Stockton a close 2.
