Who is your favourite cricket player and why? Mine is Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian cricketer, wicket keeper and captain.

My favorite is Sir Vivian Richards
"Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards, KNH, (born St John's, Antigua on 7 March 1952) is a former West Indian cricketer. Better known by his second name, Vivian or, more popularly, simply as Viv or King Viv1 Richards was voted one of the five Cricketers of the Century in 2000, by a 100-member panel of experts, along with Sir Donald Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Jack Hobbs and Shane Warne.2 In February 2002, he was judged by Wisden to have played the best One Day International (ODI) innings of all time.3 In December 2002, he was chosen by Wisden as the greatest ODI batsman of all time, as well as the third greatest Test batsman of all time.4" (information quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Vivian_Richards)
If there is one man that stands out in West Indian cricket history it is this man. If there was one cricketer in the world that i could have been i would choose to be this man. Powerful,Masterful(nickname the Master Blaster),Commanding,Attacking,Tactical,TECHNICAL these are the characteristics of this Champions bats man. The one thing that stands out in his career is his prolific batting style which just awesome. it also represented the batting style of the West Indian cricketers of the day.
