Who is your favorite Watchmen character and why?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Dr Manhattan
Because he is a scientist, he had a really weird lab accident, he is still human somehow, he is blue and doesn't use a stupid super-hero uniform.

From the graphic novel, (excellent read). It has to be Nite Owl / Dan Dreiberg, its great to see a superhero struggling with so many "human traits" throughout the novel, the transformation from a hero to a somewhat broken down man is a refreshing look on what a modern day superhero would face, especially when faced with getting older, slower and eventually no longer needed or wanted by society.

Of course without Rorschach this book wouldnt be complete, everyone loves the dark vigilante, and loves them even more when they are also revealed as vulnerable as the they are in life, eg Batman.

So I cheated, I picked two characters, but its an amazing story. Don't read the wikipedia page if you don't want a spoiler!

Oddly, I had never heard of Watchmen until I saw the first teaser for the movie last year. From what little I know of them, I would pick Dr. Manhattan - the naked blue bald guy with white eyes. My reason - well he's the only one of the bunch that actually has super powers.

Silk Spectre
Lots of family problems (which I identify with) and a troubled romance life.

Rorschach...dark, haunted, borderline-evil...all the things I like in a superhero. It doesn't hurt that he has my favorite quote, "They will look up and shout 'SAVE US', And I will whisper 'No...'"

Rorschach I liked him because I relate to the character and find a lot of common traits between him and I. I know it's not a thrilling 4 page answer but it is the honest one.
