Who is your favorite modern artist and/or place to view art ?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I love viewing his works at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There's something about the way they're lit in the exhibits there that makes them seem like they're glowing. You can see the delicate textures of the actual brushstrokes, which is hard to distinguish from books and other printed images. You get to see a variety of his works of all different sizes. I saw one that was only about 12" x 16" and it was like a little surprise. Then of course I walked along further in the exhibit and saw my favorite piece : "Crucifiction". It has so much impact and it literally took my breath away.
For anyone who loves surrealism...Dali is the way to go.
