Tommy's playing impressed Chet Atkins so much, he tagged Tommy with the coveted CGP (Certified guitar Player) label, which is not something that Chet doled out to just anyone.
From the examples below, you will see that he not only an incredibly gifted instrumentalist but a great entertainer as well.

This man is out of his mind. He has this wild hybrid style: folk/fast finger picking, European music, blues and jazz, all of which melds into nothing you've quite heard before, especially coming from a single guitar. He won the national fingerstyle competition back in the early 90s for his arrangement of the entire Nutcracker Suite for solo guitar. Here he is performing one of his signature pieces "Cornbread and Baklava."

This is guy is also a little bit out of his mind. He is an Italian guitarist, who arranges Irish folk songs for the solo guitar. That may sound kind of bland/basic, but he takes that concept up into outer space in terms of what he can do with it. A lot of his songs are in alternate tunings, and just sound awesome. Here he is playing "Flowers from Ayako."
