Who is/was your favorite female comic book character of all time?

I have always found it intersting that the Wasp has ben my favorite comic book character for years. I am not sure if it is the fact that she symbolizes the fact that good things come in small packages, or the fact that she is the biggest flirt ever in comic books (I have always had a thing for flirts).

While many believe that her power to turn into a small winged humanoid was insignificant, she has almost always proved herself as a great distractor to the evil characters, and as a great spy. Many look at her as a secondary character that is best known for having more costumes and outfits than any other character. I find the subtle development of her character facinating. I find the playful interpretation of her in the new cartoon of the Avengers to be spot on.

Also, how can you go wrong with the character that named the Avengers, and recognized Captain America.

I'm gonna have to go with Red Sonja. I know ol' Howard didn't actually create her, but the idea of a redhead tough enough to not only survive the savage world of Conan, but had the cunning and power to challenge it in kind (she didn't wear much armor, told any man lusting after her precious ass they had to beat her to have her, and then left every single one of them sleeping a cold and lonely night after she kicked their ass- and this is all after bragging than no man could defeat her with a sword).

Too bad the release date of the new movie keeps getting pushed around like a freshman geek...

As luck would have it, I have been in dispose all night working on a friend of mine. One of her favorite characters is Wonder Woman. I got most of the upper body detailing done, and now I get to wait for it to heal so I can work the lasso in before moving on to the rest of it.

As a young teen I like The ARCHIES comic books and Veronica was my favorite character. Veronica is the the brunette playing the keyboard. She was the spoiled little rich girl. She dressed impeccably! She lived the life most teen girls would love to have; lots of money, perfect body, and very popular.

Black Cat. Hands down. Spider-Man's equal, and romantic interest over the years didn't hurt either.

Oh wow, I actually have not put much thought into that. I'm such a pig of a man, :)

I think the first comic book character I really dug was Jubilee. Not a big name, and doesn't have great powers (or any powers now), but when I saw her in the X-men cartoon, I perked up.

I like Storm, I like Wonder Woman, I like the female characters from "Y the Last Man," "Preacher," ""Queen and Country," etc, but I liked and still like the attitude of Jubilee especially.

What would your reasoning be behind liking each one of them? I asked for your reasons.

Wonder Woman! Because she was the first liberated woman comics character and she was heroic, fair, and forthright.
