All of China's people are oppressed. They don't have any rights. They are afraid to speak out against their rulers lest they be whipped, beaten, starved, or simply disappear one night never to return.
China is a tyranny, and all tyrants are hated by the people they subject.
However, China disables the Internet, so we will never hear about most of these attrocities. The closest we came was the TV coverage of the 1989 riot in Tiananmen Square. Most of the time, Chinese subjects are too terrified to say one word against their ruler.
