When you are talking about the most feared hitter ever to come to the plate in Major League Baseball you are really asking a loaded question. Because the game has spanned so many generations you could get a different answer from 100 different people. For my money, the most feared hitter of all time has to be Barry Bonds. Even if you think that part of what made him so fearsome was the steroids (and I do think that) the man could still rake the ball. He had a ton of power and he could hit for a great batting average as well. He was the complete package and added into that package was a batting eye that is rarely seen today. Bonds rarely chased a pitch that was a foot out of the zone the way so many power hitters in today’s game do.
