M$Louis Armstrong is just one of the many famous Jazz artists who comes to mind as one of the best of all time. He was born in 1901. He spent most of his childhood very poor. To make money he had to drop out of school when he was very young and join a singing group just to make enough money to get by. He began to play the cornet and joined many bands. He preformed solos in each band he was with. He soon became very famous. His “pebbly” voice became extremely recognized and loved. He died in 1971.
There are many wonderful Jazz artists. www.Jazz.com is a great website to learn about Jazz and Jazz artists. Jazz.com has an entire encyclopedia of Jazz artists. This includes some artists who are alive and some artists who are dead.

A lot of people will tell you this artist is the best or that artist is the best... but when it coms to "most famous" the answers are more reasonable. Whom do you think of when you think of Jazz?
