Jules Verne is a great science fiction writer who wrote 20,000 Leagues under the Sea and the sequel Mysterious Island. To me, his work is among the top because he had a deep understanding of adventure and also of human nature. Just like,Rod Sterling’s The Twilight Zone, which depicts complex human conditions in an entertaining but understandable format, Jules Verne clearly has a visionary scientific mind and used common scientific principles in his movies that characters used to save their lives from volcanoes and of course the depth of the sea. Both authors and writers have seen their works been made into movies and also a four year television series. Both Verne and Sterling also have stood the test of time as children and adults today enjoy Verne’s classic novel and many people are still Zonies. Arthur C. Clarke, George Orwell, and the late Octavia Butler are also great authors who has seen their work stand out over the decades.
