I would hope that most mothers would consider themselves role models. They are the ones that have an immediate influence on their daughters. They should be living and acting as they would expect their daughters to behave.

I don't think that there is anyone person the can be considered the very best. I think there are many role models that give young girls influence.

A good role model is one that not only encourages honesty and morals, but also practices those traits. She is someone that shows courage and stands for her beliefs, but knows when to compromise and allow others express their opinions. She knows when to admit defeat, but also works to correct her mistakes, and admits when she makes them. A role model strives to find truth and knowledge. She is supportive and caring, hardworking and ambitious.

Role models could be mothers, older siblings, grandmothers, teachers, aunts, Girl Scout leaders, politicians, doctors, lawyers, or the clerk down at the grocery store. A role model could be found anywhere.

That would be, IMO Martina McBride and/or Kellie Pickler. They both have songs about being beautiful just the way you are and I think all young girls need to know that about themselves.
