Who is the best anti-hero from a book you read?

just fiction, give a little detail
Tip for best answer: M$1.56
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I hope that you don't mind that I have chosen a graphic novel "Madame Mirage".

It is a Science fiction where technology through genetic manipulation and super power suits creates a world in which superheroes exist. Yet . . . for every one person that uses this technology for the betterment of mankind a hundred became villains. Eventually laws pass that forbid this technology, most heroes turn themselves in, while those that would misuse the technology go "Legit" and form businesses.

Years after the last of the heroes are long gone, a mysterious figure begins to kill the villains one by one. I really can't say more without spoiling the plot.

The plot is really only half of the impact, the other half is how it is told, it is set in the future but the story captures a sexy, pulp, noir setting that is just fantastic.

Madame Mirage herself is sexy, smart, and deadly and I promise that if this sounds like your cup of tea, you have to read it.

Takeshi Kovacs

The Main Character in 3 Hardboiled Sci-Fi books written by British author Richard K Morgan 3 Awesome Books i highly recomend them btw.
Altered Carbon
Broken Angels
Woken Furies

These Books are set in the distant future where everyone is fitted with a cortical stack in there spinal column a device that backs up the mind and allows for recovery from body death and also allows the mind to be transmitted to other bodies on different planets.
This process is called resleeving

Kovacs is a former Envoy, a type of futuristic soldier, part intelligence operative and part shock trooper, trained to adapt quickly to new bodies and new environments. Envoys are used by the governing Protectorate to infiltrate and crush planetary unrest and maintain political stability. Envoys possess total recall and are able to discern subtle patterns within seemingly unrelated events. They possess a thorough understanding of body language and vocal tonality, such that they can discern intention and manipulate others with ease. They are able to control their physiological and psychological responses, such as fear and anger, at will. Another aspect that figures prominently in an Envoy's training is the systematic removal of every violence-limiting instinct a human is born with. The training is such that, on most worlds, its graduates are instantly forbidden by law to hold any political or military office. The fear the mention of their name can elicit is often used by Kovacs to threaten and intimidate.

Hes basically a Stone cold Bad Ass
