Who is the artist of the The Division Bell cover?
I've always been fascinated by the art on The Division Bell. When the album first came out, I even had a t-shirt with some pretty awesome graphics that was related. In fact, I still have it. Who was the artist of the album cover and other art related to The Division Bell? Is there a story to go along with this art? What do those two heads facing each other stand for? How does this graphic tie into the music that is on the Pink Floyd album and just where is this artist now?

Contrary to what I thought for a long time, the cover is actually a photograph, not a painting. The statues are real (as tall as a double-decker bus); they were designed by Keith Breeden, and sculpted by John Robertson.
The album cover design was the idea of long-time Pink Floyd collaborator Storm Thorgeson, who designed nearly every album cover since "Dark Side of the Moon." The idea was that you would see the two statues in profile, which in turn formed a full face from the front point-of-view. Thorgeson is still designing album covers for bands, including Muse.
