My 13 year old daughter has touched my heart in many ways. Her birthday is on Christmas Eve, so she is my angel anyways. She was born premmie and had a lot of odds stacked against her and was not expected to make it.

She has become a wonderful child. She is so smart and has jumped a grade. She just got accepted to the local college and is the youngest student there and is taking dual credit courses there. She is gorgeous and a sweetheart.

Since she was little, she would collect money to give to charities. She has done a number of fund raisers on her own. She is the first to help an elderly person in the grocery store. In an age where teens are so notably selfish, she goes around convincing her friends to help clean up someones lawn or raise money for someone in need. She has been recognized in the local paper and in our church.

My family tries to lead a good life, but she has taken it above and beyond good, just with her own goodness from within. I have comments constantly from adults talking about how genuinely good she is.

This year she started a toy drive all by herself and asked me if we could volunteer at the local domestic violence shelter for Christmas.

I greatly admire her courage, strength, and ability to go against what is popular and do what is right. She is truley an angel that is touching many peoples lives. God had a plan for her, even when the doctors thought she was going to die.

I volunteer in a retirement home and met Rose (not her real name). Her husband passed away a few months ago and she was really, really lonely. As she recalled her moments with her husband, I can't help but be touched by her story that I can't help but shed a tear. I didn't want her see that I was unhappy so I left her with my wife and cried me a river in the men's room. That one is for true and lasting love! What can I say? I am a hopeless romantic. Isn't everybody? Peace!
