Here is the information I found regarding him with all the information you need.

Sigismund Schlomo Freud (May 6, 1856 – September 23, 1939), was an Austrian neurologist who founded the psychoanalytic school of psychology.1 Freud is best known for his theories of the unconscious mind and the defense mechanism of repression and for creating the clinical practice of psychoanalysis for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst. Freud is also renowned for his redefinition of sexual desire as the primary motivational energy of human life, as well as his therapeutic techniques, including the use of free association, his theory of transference in the therapeutic relationship, and the interpretation of dreams as sources of insight into unconscious desires. He was also an early neurological researcher into cerebral palsy.

Sigmund Freud, originally named Sigismund Schlomo Freud, is the founder of the concept of psychoanalysis. He was born in what is now the Czech Republic, and moved with his family to Vienna, Austria shortly thereafter. He is responsible for linking behaviors and their respective therapies to childhood, personality, memory and sexuality. While many of his techniques and theories are implemented and exercised today, a portion of his work remains controversial and theoretical.

During his education, Freud was heavily influenced by Ludwig Borne as well as the teachers Freud studied under such as the legendary Goethe, Brentano, Meynert and others. Brucke's laboratory gave him the opportunity to test some of his theories on physiology and psychiatry. Some of his treatment methods included electroshock therapy and hypnosis.
