Born February 6, 1963, Scott Gordon used to be a professional goaltender and now coaches professional hockey. He was the former coach for the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins and now coaches the NHL's New York Islanders. Aside from his coaching career, he also made national hockey history as being one of the first goalies to have waterbottles atop the goal. A presumably minor feat, but a trend-setter to say the least. Before his NHL career, he receieved the coach of the year award in 2008 AHL (Louis A. R. Pieri Memorial Award). Due to his teams success he was also granted, alongside his assistant coach, to coach the All-Star team in 2008.
