Who is nominated for the Best Cinematography Academy Award?

I’m just starting to learn about cinematography and photography. I’m wondering who is nominated for Best Cinematography at the Oscars this year. Which films did they work on? Do you know any special facts about their filming techniques?
Tip for best answer: M$3.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @brentw,

I honestly have not seen any of the movies that are nominated for the category cinematography. I have seen the ballot and I also wanted to vote on the nominees but I find it really tough since if I could remember, I only have watched very few from all the nominated movie list and they’re not being nominated in the cinematography. Enough talking, here are the five movies nominated for best cinematography:
Black Swan” - Matthew Libatique
Inception”- Wally Pfister
The King's Speech” - Danny Cohen
The Social Network” - Jeff Cronenweth
True Grit” - Roger Deakins
I wish I have the idea about how these movies were created but you surely can watch them and judge them. For more information on the nominations, check out http://www.cinemablend.com/new/oscar-nominations-2011-academy-award-nominee-list-announced-22810.html.
