Well, that is pretty much who she is.
Before running for senate, McMahon had no political experience. Besides being an executive at WWF/E for years, she recently was on the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart University, the Board of of Directors of the Close Up Foundation, and on the Connecticut Board of Education.

The most recent news I've read is that her money has gotten her just that. She's received the republican nomination for senate.
She also has a boat load of money, and she is willing to use it all to win the election.
