Casimir Pulaski was a Polish American General that played a crucial role in the American Revolution. I grew up in Illinois so I was familiular withthe fact that there is a Federal day of recognition called General Pulaski Day and there is also a state holiday in Illinois caled Casimir Pulaski Day.
