Who INVENTED the wine cooler? My grandfather, Daniel P. Novella. Sold them at the Sonoma Co. Fair 70's & 80's.

Your info is incomplete. Just research the Sonoma County records for proof. Daniel P. Novella invented the wine cooler solo and brought it to local market in the 70's and 80's via the Sonoma County Fair. Daniel spent his wine making career at the old Italian-Swiss Colony in Asti, Ca. With his family by his side he was able to build a loyal following for his wine concoction. The "Wine Cooler" booth at the fair was a favorite of the horse jockeys and always had long lines extending out of the three windows.

Sounds like you answered your own question!

I certainly can't find any info that would dispute your claims about your grandfather...I'd actually be interested to read more about the wine cooler's Sonoma County origins (I just moved to Marin County).

Do you have links to the info about your grandfather? Couldn't find any online...
