Who here has been to Bermuda? Any suggestions?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Traveling to Bermuda requires a passport. After January, 2008 and June, 2009, the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative was enacted regarding travel to Bermuda and the Caribbean.

After landing your plane, seek out taxis that are professional and are routinely used by travelers. Decline rides from independent drivers as that could cause trouble in the way of payments or property. Also at the hotel, limit the number of persons there that seek to carry or transport your luggage or offer to show you the sights. Don't start handing out money to any beggars and decline any offers to go to a store for you, or to even show you where a store is. Always ask the hotel personnel questions as to where the stores are if outside of the hotel and beach area. Only drink bottled water. Never eat food picked right off a tree or fresh out of the ocean. Only eat food prepared at restaurants or at the hotel.

Do buy articles of art and artworks from the locals. Much of it is inexpensive and has value as an original piece of art.

If you're into dancehall, The Lion's Den in Bermuda is lively. Keep in mind that the people dance gyratingly, and it's not a come-on. Smile, but don't laugh, and just dance.

You can buy a folding travel bike in Bermuda and take it back home with you.

Bermuda is a beautiful island owned by the United Kingdom and located in the North Atlantic Ocean. With a highly pleasant subtropical climate, beaches with exquisite pink sand and a baby blue sky, it's no wonder that Bermuda is a highly popular tourist destination.

Visit St. George's. This town in Bermuda is a "World Heritage Site," and was the first area of settlement in Bermuda.

Go to the Bermuda Botanical Gardens.

Check out the Royal Naval Dockyard. Located in the Somerset Island area, this is one of the premier attractions in Bermuda.

Relax at John Smith's Bay Beach in the Harrington Sound area.

Spend the afternoon at the Verdmont Museum in the Harrington Sound Area.

If you plan on visiting Bermuda in the months of January or February, try to check out the Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts. This annual event lasts seven weeks and has a large number of international concerts from jazz, classical and pop artists. There are also various dance and theatrical events.
