Who exactly benefits from the press highlighting how vulnerable the Royal Family is? Do they want to raise taxes to pay for more security?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I knew a "social" reporter who would regularly update the public on which individuals in the community were getting ready to go on vacation. She once discussed my grandmother's Florida phone call which prompted a burglary. I think that the paparazi as well as similar organizations, try to supply the most entertainment and gossip possible. Oftentimes, that includes giving out information that should not be divulged. So to answer your question, the press enjoys shock and entertainment value, which sells more papers, comercials, etc. The royal family is basically in this manner abused by it.
