Who do you want to direct The Hobbit?
In a statement posted Sunday on the Tolkien fan Web site http://TheOneRing.net, Mr. del Toro, whose films include “Pan’s Labyrinth” and the “Hellboy” movies, said: “In light of ongoing delays in the setting of a start date for filming ‘The Hobbit,’ I am faced with the hardest decision of my life. After nearly two years of living, breathing and designing a world as rich as Tolkien’s Middle Earth, I must, with great regret, take leave from helming these wonderful pictures.”
Who do you want to see taking over as the director of the movie? Do you wish Del Toro would come back? Do you want someone new? Would you like to see Peter Jackson step up to the plate and hit another LotR movie out of the park?

"District 9" was done with little funding and it came out just right, just imagine what Neill Blomkamp could do to "Hobbit" with the high budget that has been set aside for its accomplishment. He would even have the assistance and supervision of Peter Jackson, just like he did in "District 9".
Another reason why I think Neill Blomkamp would be a good choice is because I believe he would add more life into the movie, especially now that he knows that he has a ‘’big’’ shoe to fit in too and also that a lot of people are waiting to see how he might handle it.
I know Peter Jackson would always be his shadow and if Neill Blomkamp gets the seat, "Hobbit" would be an outstanding award winning movie.
