You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi there @razorkite!

Sorry for my super delayed answer. By now, you probably know what happened during Grammy Awards which occurred last February 13th. Since this is an opinion based question, it won’t hurt that much if I answered though late. :/

Album of the Year nominees for this year (2011) are:
1. The Fame Monster - Lady Gaga
2. Need You Now - Lady Antebellum
3. Recovery - Eminem
4. The Suburbs - Arcade Fire
5. Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

Upon seeing the nominees few days before Grammys, I’m kind of thinking that the country group, Lady Antebellum will win this category. I’ve always think of Grammys as the most prestigious music awards because there are real board members which chooses the nominees and the winners compared to other music award giving bodies which winners are being decided by votes where real talent is most of the time being ignored.

I’ve listened to the whole album of the group Lady Antebellum and liked it very much. For me, it’s worthy of being named as 2011’s Album of the Year. My other bet would be Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ or Lady Gaga’s ‘The Fame Monster’.

None of my top three hit though cause in the end, Arcade Fire with their album ‘The Suburbs’ bag the award. I haven’t heard the whole album yet but maybe it’s that good that it beat out my bets.
