Who do you think is the biggest playmaker in the NFL? Somebody that is a threat to score a long touchdown anytime he touches the ball. It ca

n be a running back, wide receiver, return guy or a defensive player. If you want to name some NFL sack master as the best big play threat that is ok as well. My own pick for the biggest pro football playmaker is DeSean Jackson from the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson can turn a short pass into a Sports Center highlight show. I like the fact that Jackson is a threat with reverses, receptions or returns.

ww.yoBefore I saw your answer, I was thinking of DeSean Jackson immedietly. I saw every game he played last year and he has the breakaway capability that I haven't seen in a long time. He had 8 plays from scrimmage of more than 50 yards. That doesn't include the long returns he's had on his punt returns for touchdowns. He scored 10 touchdowns on just 74 touches (receptions and rushing attempts combined). As for the other answer here of Chris Johnson, certainly a very good choice, probably the best for any running back in the league. He had an incredible three runs from scrimmage of over 85 yards and two receptions of over 60 yards. I don't know if that's a record or not, but I'd have to think the three rushes from over 80 yards is a record for a single season. I think Johnson and Jackson are the two best big play threats, and really difficult to pick just one since they play different positions.

While Desean Jackson is certainly a very good choice for the most explosive player in the NFL, I think there is one who might surpass him by just a hair. In my opinion, the most explosive player in the NFL right now is Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. Johnson was incredibly explosive during his days at East Carolina and he has only gotten better the more he has played in the NFL.

Johnson just finished a season in which he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 14 touchdowns. While his ground game numbers are impressive in their own right, he also caught 50 passes for another 500 yards. The reason I think he passes Jackson as the most explosive player is because while Jackson needs a decent quarterback to get him the ball and really exploit his explosiveness, Johnson simply needs someone who isn’t going to fumble the pigskin on the center exchange.

Johnson isn't a bad choice either, he can break a long one at any time.
