Who do you think is a better pick and roll player, John Stockton or Steve Nash?
It’s the best of the past versus the best of the present in terms of playing the vaunted pick and roll plays. Although both possess finesse in passing, both has contrasting style and strategies. John Stockton sees and reads the movements of his teammates very well and once the defense collapses, expect either Karl Malone or Stockton to score by a lay-up or an easy jumper. In pick and roll plays, both players who initiate must be a decent shooter and is very capable of driving his way for a lay-up. On the other hand, Steve Nash is the modern version of Stockton, but with his receiver which is Amare Stoudemire the pick and roll became more exciting since aside from the text book catch and shoot, both of the players do the plays with more excitement like ally-oops, and behind the back passes. Although Stockton has the upper hand in passing, Nash is a better post up player.

I would go with Stockton He had so many great passes and picks and rolls throughout the years. Stockton and Malone were a dynamic duo on the court. Both great players.
