Who do you rely upon for the news?

I'm interested in knowing what the typical Mahalo user depends on to stay up to date with current events. The answer could be as specific as naming a certain journalist or as general as saying you rely upon the web.
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Well, that depends on that news and current events I am interested in hearing about. In short, I have several sources for various topics.

For local events, notifications (like traffic reports), and other similar thing; I turn to my favorite local radio and news stations.

For national and international news, I rely a lot on NBC. Although I generally trust and will follow up on any provider except Fox News.

I like to stay up to date on technology; so I follow some TWiT, CNet, and the Cranky Geeks podcasts.

For other stories of interest, I often go to Digg.

Finally, any and all stories that I take a personal interest in, I tend to follow up through internet searching.

BBC, Great News channel as it's updated pretty much every half hour, and you can get news alerts/weather alerts and all sorts of stuff sent to you by eMail aswell.

Plus for the English football scores it is hardly beaten by rival websites such as Skysports.
