Who do you look up to and why? Member of your family, government offical, actor, singer, etc.

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Surprisingly enough, one of those I look up to is my son. When he was four, I took him to get a Christmas tree. It was one of those places that grow the trees and you pick one out to be cut down. When he found out that we were going to cut a tree down, he was appalled. He demanded that we go to the store and purchase a tree that was already cut.
Later, before he was ten, he saved up a hundred dollars by saving his allowance of 5 dollars a week. How is that possible? If I have $100 dollars in cash on Monday, I'm lucky to have a dollar on Friday.
Sometimes I wonder if he is mine.
He has his faults, but at 26 he is a better man than I am.

I look upto my maternal grandmother's brother. The reason's are simple. When he was 15 my great grandfather suffered a terrible illness. Without a bread earner, the family of six was faltering. So my grandfather had to leave school after the tenth grade at 16. He started out small but he is now a millionaire. You don't see many people working at sixteen and paying for their brother and sister's education. That's why I look up to him.

In the past i would say my parents but currently no one in particular since everyone has his god side and bad side.People see only the good side and ignore bad side. There is no true friend as everyone is selfish in his own way.Love fades as we want to get and rarely give, so there is no specific person to admire. I mean yea, I could look up to someone but that is no fun, why not just try to be me. I like me, just like everyone else I have my good and bad.

I look up to individuals who set a goal and have achieved their goals even in the most difficult circumstances.
I look up to writers like Stephen King an J.K. Rowling who were both facing difficult times and were close to poverty when they achieved their goals as writers.

I look up to my sister's good friend, because he's smart, cool, and successful. I also never had a brother, so he's like an older brother to me.
