I was dismayed to learn the actual demographic of the Idol voters - 'Tweens! Work with me here. If the major percentage of those texting or calling in their votes is the population of American girls ages 8 - 12 (est.), then there are several candidates who may not make it with no bearing whatsoever on their actual talent. This would give a major edge to contestants like Aaron Kelly, who is extremely good and is also 16 and Siobhan Magnus who is 20 and certainly a singer small girls could aspire to be like some day.

That being said, I think the strongest and most consistent performer is Crystal Bowersox. Lee DeWyze has come light years since the countdown from the top 12, and I'm so grateful they saved "Big Mike," Michael Lynche, who is not only a great talent, but has a heart as huge as he is.

When it comes down to the wire, I think Casey James and Crystal will be vying for the top spot. Casey has the "look," the voice and the musicianship. My opinion is based on absolutely nothing but a very wild guess. And, if I had to go with the Season 9 Idol, it SHOULD be Crystal. I guess we'll see!

The winner in this show is not always the best, cause as others said - it has to do with the voters' demographic. Most of the voters calling and voting are 12 years old girls, so obviously they will vote for the one that "speaks" their own language, which obviously is Aaron.

Personally I think he's an ok singer, nothing special, just a nice cutey little 16 years old kid who has a nice voice. He doesn't touch me in any way, and thanks to the DVR I always fast forward his performance, cause it's really boring, let's face it.

Chrystal Bowersox is the one to be. She is just amazing, strong, has amazing vocals and a great personality. She takes them all, but she will not win the show, because she's not speaking to those voters. Adult viewers can appreciate how special she is.

But... as the show showed us in the past - it's not about who wins, it's about who makes something out of it. Someone remembers the winner of last season? where is he now? no where! I even forgot his name!

It's always about what you do with the publicity you get, you can do great things, and I can guarantee you - someone like Chrystal - is exactly that someone that you will hear about - with or without winning.

I do think Chrystal has an amazing voice, but I think Lee is my favorite on American Idol and I hope he will win. I love the sound to his voice.

I have not missed one ep. I am tied between two diff people. I think that Aaron will win but then again I think of lee lee is amazing and he was never in the bottom three and then I think of mothersox. because every other year. the battle is between a boy and a girl and other years it will be is the battle between both boys so that is my opiniohn.

It definitely won't be the losers who waste hours and hours of their lives watching tripe like AI .
