who discover the microscope?

Tip for best answer: M$0.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Two Dutchmen are credited with inventing the optical microscope, Hans Lippershey and Hans Janssen.

Most experts agree that Hans Janssen was the one to actually invent it first.

It's not like who discovered the microscope but more of who were the inventors of microscope. Microscope had been developed by several inventors starting back from 1590. In 1590, Dutch Zaccharias Janssen and his father Hans Janssen developed the microscope. It was later developed by Galileo Galilei while Giovanni Faber coined the term 'microscope.' In 1665, Robert Hooke also made discoveries that developed the microscope. In1674, Anton van Leeuwenhoek developed a simple microscope using only one lens to view blood samples, insects, and yeasts. In 1986, a company in Tokyo, Japan developed and released the first digital microscope which allowed users to view images in their computers from the microscope.
