Who came up with the name DELL as in Dell Computers.

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'm pretty sure it was Michael Dell, the founder of Dell Computers...which he founded with $1000 when he was 19.

Michael Dell was the founder of DELL, back in the day DELL was just a small company aimed to sell IBM PC-compatible computers built from stock components to satisfy exact customer needs, Dell's family contributed $300,000 to Micheal's project so the company was a family business, Michael is now CEO and chairman of DELL computers, the name DELL seems sweet and cool enough for a computer company.
