Kratos was just a Spartan captain who was consumed by his sins. He also committed suicide one of the biggest sins, and he wants to destroy Ares. However since he was leading an entire Spartan army, bent on destruction, this makes him a servant to Ares. Right? After all Ares is the God of War! And those Blades of Chaos were a gift. From who?
