Who are your favorite country music artists?

My husband and I are fond of country music. We started to listen to country songs in the 90s. We enjoyed watching CMT and I think that helped us to enjoy country music as well because of the music videos that we watched. I think country singers are talented for most of them play an instrument and compose their own songs. My favorite country singers are Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, Allison Krauss, Trisha Yearwood, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw. Who are your favorite country music artists?

Country music is not one of my favorite types of music by any means. I think the modern country is not very good. I like more of the old fashion country. However, my favorite current country music performer is Keith Urban. I love Loretta Lynn, Tana Tucker, Dolly Parton, The Judds, Johnny Cash (if considered country) and I do like Allision Krauss and Union Station. I love watching the movie 'Walk the Line' and Coal Miner's Daughter, these are some of my favorites. Sometimes watching these movies about someone's life gives you a great appreciation of their lives. Other country music singers who have touching movies about their lives include Pasty Cline and Barbara Mandrell. It's very sad that Pasty had an accident at such an early age.

I live in the Bluegrass music state and I tend to lean more towards that way or sound. I love the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Ricky Skaggs as well.

I will say that although I am not a huge fan of his music, Vince Gill has the most amazing voice.

I too am a big Shania fan. For some reason, Forever and For Always puts me in a good mood when I hear it. I have to listen to atleats one of her songs when listening to my iPod. I lost all repsect for LeAnn aftre her affair and have a hard time listening to her music now. Trishia and Faith need to give us new musi but both are being mommys while the hubbys are working hard on their careers. My mother LOVES Tim McGraw. I can't pass a display of his cologne without her putting on some the tester and walking around the rest of the day saying, in some random voice, "I hugged Tim." She's tempted to buy it and spray it onto her pillow so she can say "Tim was in her bed." Tim's on the radio? "TIIIIMMMMM!!!!" Haha It's great. I LOVE Carrie Underwood. She wrote or co-wrote half her songs on her Play On album. They are a lot more personal and show that she has grown as a person over time. They show her love for her fiancee and family. I also like Brad Paisley because he can write songs like Alcohol, Ticks, and Water and take simple everyday things and turn them into a story. Or even, a good laugh. He also writes beautiful loves songs for his wife, Kim. Not to mention, have you heard/seen him play the guitar? I enjoy most of todays artists. I am not that fond of Taylor Swift. *Gasp* an eighteen year old who does not like Taylor Swift?!?!?!? Besides her, Gary Allan, Laura Bell Bundy and Julianne Hough, I'm a fan of everyone. Growing up in South Florida, not many people listen to Country music. So, I've grown accustomed to nobody agreeing with me musically, (especially about Taylor Swifts lack of talent) so it's interesting to see what other people like.

My favorite country music artists are Rascal Flatts, then in second place would be Tim McGraw. I also enjoy Faith Hill. I personally enjoy the more modern country. (And if you know me well, I love the sappy songs that bring tears to my eyes..... happy or sad songs!) I, like you, LOVE music. Music can change my mood in a second. I work from home and listen to music all day. I could watch Rascal Flatts over and over again on TV. Although I have been married for 15 years, I have a huge crush on the singer Gary Levox. (I have to giggle as I write this, because until this very moment and researching the spelling, I thought his name was Rascal.) You do not know how many people I have told that I think Rascal Flatts is gorgeous. Either they did not know either, or are laughing behind my back because I am an idiot.) Anyways, that is my list of favorite country music artists!
