Depens. I usually won't judge a designer by his/her fame.
I judge them by their work. Usually people would consider LV/ Prada/Cucci are the leader of the fashion. But I'll look at the the newest collection of herve leger or karen millen, I fall in love with them, not every dress or design are the toppest, but the one or same make them the top.
To every designer, if his/her work got a characterisity, then he is success.
When I look at the work of herve leger or karen millen, I would think up the word Top
