Photography is a complex hobby. It is an art, a science and a craft. Many photographers start with Photography as a hobby and then decide to do it for a living. Others are formally trained in colleges and universities. People who perform well as photographers are those who have the ability to understand the science and at the same time have a creative eye and artistic flair. They also have to have the ability and desire to work tirelessly to hone their craft.
One of the most famous photographers of the 1990’s is Annie Leibovitz. She started her career as staff photographer, working for the just launched Rolling Stone magazine in 1970. Other famous photographers of the era include Steve McCury and Mary-Ellen Mark just to name a few.
