The club actually has two sets of directors.
One set sit on the board of the club itself, while the other sit on the board of Manchester United Limited, the trading company behind the club.
The club directors are David Gill, Michael Edelson, Maurice Watkins, and one of the club's most famous former players, Sir Bobby Charlton.
The company directors are :
Co-chairmen: Joel Glazer & Avram Glazer
Chief executive: David Gill
Chief operating officer: Michael Bolingbroke
Commercial director: Richard Arnold
Executive director: Ed Woodward
Non-executive directors: Bryan Glazer, Kevin Glazer, Edward Glazer & Darcie Glazer
The owner of the club, Malcolm Glazer, along with the club's honorary president, Martin Edwards, sit on both boards, as does the aforementioned David Gill.

I heard Sir Alex Fergusson held a prominent position in the club´s board besides his job as manager of Man United, is it true?
Interesting question, @pixelsilva . . . he may well be an "unofficial" board member. Given his achievements / status and his long association with the club, I am sure he is welcome to sit in on any board meeting.
Most managers have an uneasy relationship with their board . . . "Are they going to sack me?" etc. . . . but Ferguson's job is the safest in football so I guess this is why such a unusual situation might exist at MUFC.
