Who are the famous classical violin players?

I have a nephew who is quite smart. He loves to play the violin and my brother who is very supportive of his inclinations enrolled him for violin lessons. He had his first recital last weekend. We are very proud of him for he really plays well and we can see his passion in playing the violin. I thought he could go places with this. Do you know who are some of the well known classical violin players?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
