"Horus is one of the oldest and most significant of the deities in the Ancient Egyptian religion who was worshipped from at least the late Predynastic period through to Greco-Roman times. Different forms of Horuses are recorded in history and these are treated as distinct gods by Egyptologists" (also obtained from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus)

"Later, when Hathor's identity (from the Ogdoad) was assimilated into that of Isis, Horus, who had been Isis' husband (in the Ogdoad), became considered her son, and thus, since Osiris was Isis' husband (in the Ennead), Osiris also became considered Horus' father. M$Osiris was the judge as to who would pass into the afterlife, also the god of Harvest (so to speak) as well.
Horus was the god of Sun, Sky, and War and was to protect the Egyptians from the god Set (in charge of the Desert).
Osiris was Horuses Father and Both were resurrected by Isis after set cut his body into pieces and scattered throughout Egypt, Isis set out to look for the pieces and she was able to find 13 of the 14 parts. However should couldn't find the 14th and most important part, his penis. So instead, she made a “phallus out of gold” (Austin Powers joke anyone?) and sang till he came back to life. After Osiris was resurrected he and Isis conceived Horus.

M$@rishiku: I don't know if you copied from Wikipedia, but, if you did.... If you are going to copy from a website (Wikipedia), please indicate so with words or with --quote-- and --unquote-- indicators.
If you didn't just copy, then... good on you!
The top parts I just looked on Wikipedia and just went ok so it says he was this god and this god.
The bottom part I took from the third link, but rephrased it and removed some of the stuff that wasn’t a large part of what, maadhu was looking for.
I also took Mythology as a senior in high school so after a quick read I remember most of the stuff I learned (just not to much of the in-depth detail).
