White bread or Whole Wheat bread?

Which do you eat and why? After eating whole wheat for so long I don't even like some white breads anymore.

Whole Wheat is certainly better because it has much more health benefits. I am a health conscious person who believes in putting foods in my body that will enhance my health. I eat wheat bread because it is nutritious,it is heart healthy and it is a good source of fiber . White bread is one of the foods causing obesity in young children .So some schools are improving their lunches by making sandwiches with wheat bread rather than white bread. White bread is known to increase the risk of cancer and it is detrimental to your health. .

If you can read a lable you can judge for yourself. Many white and wheat breads are going away from HFCS and additives. Aside form making it yourself, and a bread maker is a great way to get pure food. You can buy Arnold bread. Arnold bakery goods are going away from additives and HFC and junk. Its only 50 cents more a loaf than standard almost stale white bread.
I like their potato bread. It's like a challah all week long!

There's nothing wrong with a good white bread.

The problem is, most white breads are not good. They're full of gums and stabilizers to make them light and fluffy. It's like eating cotton. A lot of people like them for exactly that reason: they have no flavor.

But a good artisan white bread, with a chewy crumb and a shatteringly perfect crust... it can be a work of art. It's great eating on its own, with butter, or in all sorts of sandwiches.

It's harder to get that same perfect combination of textures with wheat breads, because the gluten structure is different. But it can still be a delicious bread, just of a different kind. It'll have a much bigger flavor, making it a better complement to heartier sandwich fillings.

Whole grains, always. It's better on the body. White bread is just sugars and starches, there is nothing healthy about it at all.
