Ski jumping is restricted to men only. There was a recent attempt to use the Canadian court system to force the addition of a ski jump event for women, however the British Columbia Supreme Court did not rule in their favor. Because the IOC is not a Canadian entity, the Canadian courts do not have the ability to force them to operate within the constraints of the Canadian charter.
