Which type of cooking spray works best to keep food from sticking?
Besides cooking spray, what are other items I can use to keep food from sticking to a skillet? Can cooking sprays damage cookware?

Hello mmng23,
Most cooking sprays work well when it comes to stopping food from getting stuck to pans. These sprays are usually oil based and have olive oil, butter or vegetable oil and a propellant. Cooking sprays are used instead of applying oil or butter to dishes and are a healthier option as very little has to be sprayed onto a dish for it to be effective. This is a major reason why cooking sprays have been labeled as “zero calorie”.
If you are not comfortable using cooking spray, coating a skillet with a thin layer of vegetable oil or butter will result in less food getting stuck, and it can be as effective as a cooking spray. If you want more information about cooking spray check the FAQ section for this particular brand http://www.mazola.com/products/cooking-sprays-faqs.aspx here you will notice that cooking spray can be used on non-stick cookware too. Another alternative to cooking spray is buying a spray bottle and filling it with cooking oil or vegetable oil and spraying it onto a pan. Cooking spray does not destroy cookware as it is contains oil. More information about cooking spray can be got here: http://www.foodista.com/food/27FMKVGH/no-stick-cooking-spray
