which style/grape variety would compliment Indian light bites and mild curries?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Indian Cuisine - and matching wine / grape

Mild flavoured dishes malai tikka
Light to medium reds and whites- Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc

Oily dishes like pakoras, samosas
Tart wines - Sauvignon Blanc

Tandoori dishes
Riesling, Pinot Noirs, Muscadets

Strongly flavoured dishes like mutton biryani
Fuller bodied reds – Syrah

Champagne and other sparkling wines also complement Indian cuisine.
